  • ValoresCultural crossroad. A distinctive feature of the Mediterranean background is the historical culture flow between various ethnic groups and religions, which is depicted by a remarkable linguistic richness and a myriad of different political and social structures.
  • Sustainable development. Specially focusing on environmental sustainability, such as renewable sources of energy.
  • Integration of information and communication technologies (ICTs) within the school syllabus and in the college management, aiming at excellence in the use and understanding of ICTs among students and staff.


VISION

The UWC España will be clearly aligned with the UWC movement, in order to deal not only with subjects that may be common within the organization, but also with specific issues related to this particularly sensitive region:

  • Dialogue between cultures and religions.
  • Conflict resolution.
  • Environmental protection.
  • Science and IT development in order to favour better communication.
  • Healthcare improvement.
  • Fostering economic and social development.

This shall be depicted through the:

  • College syllabus.
  • College management.
  • Impact on the local community and the surrounding environment.
  • International cooperation actions undertaken in the Mediterranean region.
