It is constituted by board members and staff of the UWC Spanish Committee Foundation as well as by Spanish UWC alumni. Its scope is to diffuse UWC ideals throughout the Mediterranean basin and raise broader awareness on the organisation, in order to increase, at the different Colleges, the number of students coming from those countries.

Along with such spreading of information and promotion tasks, this Committee works shoulder to shoulder with the UWC International Office and the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) Initiative with the purpose of reinforcing or creating National Committees in the countries where they may not yet exist.

This Promotion Committee provides support to and participates in any selection process where its help is required, contributing its 17 year experience in this field.

Finally, fundraising for scholarships addressed to students coming from the countries of the Mediterranean basin is another goal of this Committee, with the intent that this results in a larger number of those students attending UWCs.
